A word from Pastor Alex Ghioni:

Sammamish has been called one of the best neighborhoods in the entire Seattle region and one of the best places to live in the United States. In a city where wealth is prevalent, technology is abundant, and the only rival to the many beautiful homes is the magnificence of the Cascade Mountains that frame them, people’s greatest need is often obscured.

Hidden behind the picture-perfect community are people who struggle with profound loneliness, difficult marriages, and paralyzing insecurities. The population has exploded in some areas by as much as 500% over the last ten years and the per capita income of families here has become the 12th highest in the state of Washington. But these good things won’t resolve the deeper problems of people disconnected from the life of God.

The real need in our community is not for more of what we already have. Rather, we need real community, real friendship, and the real hope we can only find in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Mars Hill Church is all about Jesus, and the glory of Jesus is what compels us to reach out in every city where God calls us with his message hope. So we come to the Plateau proclaiming the good news of the reconciliation of God with all people by the finished work of Jesus who died for our sins, in our place. We want you to join us in getting to know Jesus more deeply and worshiping him more fully so that you too will be compelled to proclaim his good news.
